Welding or filler wire is supplied in bobbins. This is convenient for industrial lines: the bobbin is installed on the feeding mechanism and the rod is automatically sent to the welding zone. The alternative is manual feeding of the material, which is common outside of mass production.

The filler rod itself can be different: solid, hollow or with special inclusions. The metals from which it is made also differ in a large assortment: aluminum, brass and others. When choosing this parameter, welders pay attention first of all: the additive in its composition must be identical to the metals being welded.
